Rich, brambly Syrah meets smooth, plumy Carmenère in this latest star from Chile's pioneering Falernia cellar. Located in the dizzying heights of the Elqui Valley (8,800 feet above sea level!), the winery caught our attention several years ago when the wines of Chile were still a best-kept-secret of people in the know.

Falernia's enormous success at the recent Wines of Chile awards however, has catapulted this small family-run winery to stardom! As well as taking home a healthy cluster of medals (more than any other winery in the show!), top wine writers, like Jancis Robinson have bestowed heaps of praise onto their wines - particularly this sumptuous red!

Full and voluptuous with all the spicy aromas of classic Syrah and notes of ripe, plummy fruit from the Carmenère; extremely rich and indulgent … this is the perfect companion to beef stew and dumplings.
