Description
The Languedoc is a vast vineyard stretching from the Spanish border to the Camargue and inland to the foothills of the Pyrenees and the Massif Central. At its centre lies the Hérault - a département and wine region in its own right.

There are vineyards here as far as the eye can see - along plains near the coast and up ruggedly steep slopes inland where herbs grow wild amongst the vines. With a warm Mediterranean sun and a variety of soils you have a perfect climate for the vine and dozens of varieties flourish.

The now internationally acclaimed Mas de Daumas Gassac was the first to prove that the Languedoc (and the Hérault especially) could make world-class, ageworthy wines to rival top Bordeaux and many other rising star estates have followed its lead.

This is a rich, unoaked red combining several native varieties - Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Mourvèdre - with a little Merlot and Côt, and is infused with Mediterranean warmth.
