Description
Quinta Do Vesuvio is a breath-takingly grand estate situated on the south bank of the River Douro. In 1989, the powerful Symington group rescued the quinta, which was in decline through poor management.

From the outset, the family decided not only to preserve the traditional character of the quinta, but also to produce only vintage port at the estate - a new concept to the port industry.

Quinta Do Vesuvio 1999 is a rich, beautifully layered port. Moderating conditions in the final stages before harvest gave the grapes the perfect time to mature, creating a highly expressive release. "Long, complex - 95 points" (Wine International).
