Description
"White Burgundy is the classic dry white wine for entertaining round your dinner table" (FT Weekend)
Never more so than at Christmas when Burgundy's fresh fruit, minerality and elegance is just perfect. And these are all great '06s. Chablis was a real star of the vintage with Jancis Robinson advising you to "make hay whilst this glorious sun shines".
Savour the minerality of 'Les Pargues' (a single vineyard Gold medal-winner from 7th generation winemaker François Servin) and the finesse of Robert Nicolle's best ever release. Domaine Dampt's richly concentrated old-vine Petit Chablis is here (a Tastevinage and 'Wine of the Year' winner) alongside creamy, elegant Domaine Touzot and barrel-matured Domaine Dupré from our old friend Bernard Derain. Viré Clessé (an up and coming appellation) rounds things off in generously ripe fashion.
