Meursault

Meursault is an important wine region in the Côte de Beaune between Puligny-Montrachet and Volnay. It is most famous for its white Chardonnay wines which are typically rich, 'buttery' and delicious - softer and a touch less vibrant than neighbouring Puligny-Montrachet. Meursault has several notable Premiers Crus vineyards but no Grand Crus. Most of its wines are at least part-fermented and/or aged in oak.
