Beyond the Label

Big news from Down Under:

After years of working for one of Australia’s top estates, renowned winemaker (and collector of scores of gold medals) Salvatore ‘Sam’ Trimboli has struck out on his own.

We’ve been friends with Sam for ages – he’s the talent behind customer favorites like Yarrunga Field and Black Duck – so we’re especially thrilled to bring you his new, signature red.

Inspired by the eight Salvatores in the Trimboli family tree, it marries dark-fruited Malbec with Shiraz (Australia’s flagship red) and Durif (Sam’s favorite variety). Thanks to the hot, dry growing season in New South Wales, his grapes achieved serious ripeness – which means, when it’s time to pour, you’re in for a wallop of lusciously rich, concentrated black and red berry flavor. Toasty spice notes from four months’ aging in French oak barrels rounds out the finish, making this beaut a real winner for barbecue.

Sam’s a quality-over-quantity kind of guy, meaning there’s only so much of this to go around. Reach for this new favorite today.
