Amandla Sauvignon Blanc 2024

Flavor Profile
The Amandla range comes to us from Adama Wines, a majority Black-owned company in South Africa. It’s part of the HER Wine Collection, a 100% Black female-run collective, and we think it’s safe to say their Amandla “Our Future” Sauvignon Blanc most embodies the vibrancy of their team—and of women everywhere. It’s a vivacious showcase of passion fruit, pineapple and lemon flavors that’ll leave you wanting more.
Praisy Dlamini is the brilliant winemaker behind the operation. Raised on a sugar cane farm in the South African province of KwaZulu-Natal where she had zero ties to wine, she earned an agricultural degree from the groundbreaking Elsenburg Cape Institute and then became the first woman to be chosen for the Cape Winemakers Guild Protégé Program, a three-year internship for wine and viticulture students (and a HUGE deal in South Africa’s wine industry).
Now, she can count more than 15 vintages under her belt—including time at the historic Zonnebloem estate, one of South Africa’s oldest wine brands—and has been turning more and more heads with her Amandla bottlings. (In fact, when they were first released back in 2023, The Drinks Business was quick to give the venture its Best Launch of the Year award.)
Sourced from vineyards throughout the Western Cape, this one is sleek and lively, with opulent fruit accented by bright citrus. Praisy recommends enjoying it alongside chicken satay, corn fritters and spicy beef sliders, and always among friends.
Order your share today and you won’t just have a wonderful wine—you'll be supporting winemakers who put their heart and soul into crafting every single bottle.
