The new vintage of Mark Hoddy’s ripe, fragrant Pinot Noir has landed, and it’s tasting better than ever. It hails from a prime southern French vineyard and—because it’s made to look and taste like a good Burgundy—it’s a superb dinner party red.

Beyond the Label

Le Champ des Etoiles (‘field of stars’) is the handiwork of the talented Mark Hoddy—made in the image of top-notch Burgundy, but with a southern French twist. It has a balance of freshness and juicy ripe fruit flavor that keeps you coming back for more.

Every year, this ‘star’ wins critical acclaim and raves from wine lovers. The tasting panel for France's prestigious Gilbert & Gaillard wine guide has awarded gold medals to previous vintages, describing the wine as, “beautiful ruby red with crimson highlights…a wonderful fusion of Pinot Noir and this sun-ripened Languedoc vineyard site.”

The aforementioned site? That would be Torquebiau, a tiny vineyard in the Coteaux du Languedoc, close to the phenomenal Mas de Daumas Gassac estate. Made with fruit from this special plot, the wine has all of Pinot Noir’s signatures: ripe strawberry and red currant aromas with hints of sweet spice that unfold into juicy raspberry and crisp white cherry on the palate. Enjoy as a lightly chilled aperitif, or pair with grilled salmon, roasted turkey and more.

Just be sure to hurry for your share.
