Le XV du Président 2019

Le XV du Président 2019
The latest release of this hugely popular Grenache, crafted from some of the Languedoc-Roussillon’s oldest vines (many over 100 years old). Miserly yields mean intense flavors in the glass, and ‘XV’ brims with plum, fig, and wild herbs.

Flavor Profile

Wine Flavor Profile
Le XV du Président is a full-bodied red wine with ripe raspberry and cranberry aromas, underpinned by rosemary, thyme and lavender notes. Look for similar flavors on the smooth, warming palate. Hints of white pepper frame the long, rich finish.
Wine Food Pairings
Aged cheese, duck, game birds, venison, pork, vegetarian.
Beyond the Label

Lovers of Rhône reds – this one’s for you (if you’re quick enough).

Grenache master Mark Hoddy knows the vineyards of France’s sunny south like the back of his hand. He should, too – he’s always combing the area in search of the perfect sites.

Mark also knows that the Roussillon region is a source of outstanding Grenache – and his ‘presidential’ red proves the point. It’s crafted with premium fruit from some of the best vineyards across the Roussillon and neighboring Languedoc. Many of the vines are over 100 years old, and while they may yield a miserly amount of grapes, the ones they do produce are seriously concentrated in flavor. No wonder Le XV has won so much acclaim …

Last vintage, Le XV scored a 90-94 point gold medal from International Wine Awards. And we expect the new 2019 release to continue the tradition – it’s positively packed with layers of plum and fig, framed by delicate wild herb notes. Tasted blind, it could be mistaken for a far pricier Grenache from the southern Rhône. Discover this super-smooth, great-value treat for yourself.
