Beyond the Label

M Dutron Pouilly-Fuissé is a standout wine from one of Burgundy’s most celebrated Chardonnay regions. An elegant white that brims with refreshing apricot, melon and subtle spice, it has the thrilling zip of acidity and racy minerality for which top-tier Pouilly-Fuissé is known.

The release comes from the Dutron family, who’ve been making fine wines at the 13th century Château Vitallis property since 1835. Today, Maxime Dutron is at the helm, focusing on creating wines “on the vine” using sustainable techniques.

For this wine, he chose to use fruit from the estate’s southeastern-facing vineyards, home to some of the property’s oldest vines. Here, the gentle slope allows grapes to reach peak ripeness, resulting in deep, complex flavors.

Maxime’s signature is more than just the “M” on the label. It’s in his attention to detail, the way he’s crafted a wine that balances opulence with precision—generous fruit flavors, mouthwatering freshness and a long, refined finish.
