Touché is a full-bodied red wine with ripe black cherry, black currant, cranberry and dried flower aromas. The rich, elegant palate offers vibrant black fruit, spice and black pepper flavors, supported by hints of cocoa powder and vanilla on the long, complex finish.

The deeply fruited, oak-accented Touché Cabernet Sauvignon is a perennial favorite from California winemaker William “Bill” Knuttel, who made a name for himself at famous estates Saintsbury and Chalk Hill before branching out on his own. We’ve worked closely with Bill for years now, and are consistently impressed by his precision and craftsmanship.

Since Bill has relationships with top growers across California, he always has pick of premium fruit. For this release, he sourced perfectly ripe grapes from Dry Creek Valley, one of Sonoma’s most prized sub-regions, known primarily for its exceptional-quality Cab.

Back in the winery, he let the wine rest 14 months in American oak barrels, which imparted notes of cocoa powder, vanilla and vibrant spice to the Cabernet’s naturally exuberant black fruit and dark berry flavors. (All of which would be extra delicious alongside strip steak, potato strata or creamy blue cheese polenta.
