Beyond the Label

Tuscany may be Sangiovese’s spiritual home, but this famous grape also makes delicious wines in the Rubicone district of the nearby Emilia-Romagna region—and Celita Sangiovese is an excellent example. This vibrant, red-fruited find picked up a silver medal at the Sunset International Wine Competition.

Fourth-generation winemaker Celita Ravaioli crafts the wine at her family estate, Poderi dal Nespoli. Fun fact: she’s won ‘Tre Bicchieri,’ the highest honor from Italy’s celebrated Gambero Rosso wine guide. And Celita was so proud of how this elegant Sangiovese turned out, with its silky cherry and subtle spice flavors, that she gave it her name.

A great-value alternative to Chianti— and a perfect red wine for an Italian-inspired feast. Order your share today.
