Danaris Grüner Veltliner 2020
Though still rare in the U.S., Grüner Veltliner is a real specialty in Austria. Inspired by an ancient name for the Danube River, Danaris hails from a top estate in Niederösterreich and has refreshingly crisp lime, green apple and white pepper notes.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.

But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

Wine Details

Beyond the Label

Grüner Veltliner is the grape behind some of Austria’s top whites and is “the best kept secret of the wine world,” so we’re proud to bring you this thrilling find (Wine & Spirits magazine).

This classic example hails from a top estate in Niederösterreich, specifically the town of Krems, which has a winemaking tradition that dates back eight centuries. The Danube River flows through this region, and so the wine’s name, Danaris, was inspired by an ancient name for the river.

The grapes are hand harvested and then gently pressed to extract the most delicate flavors—expect to taste fresh pear and green apple, with notes of white pepper and a slight spritz. This palate perfectly pairs with grilled fish and roast pork, or mildly spicy Asian cuisine.

Grüner Veltliner is a rarity in the U.S., so take advantage of this offer by ordering your share today.
