To say thanks for your years of support, the Cantine Due Palme team has made this luxurious Pillastro Anniversario wine. Like the original fan favorite, it’s crafted from Primitivo grapes...but with a little extra oomph. A portion of the grapes dried on the vine, imparting intense concentration and richness to the fruit, and part of the wine aged for six months in barrel for an extra dose of spicy complexity.
All the team’s hard work has paid off. Pillastro Anniversario has won 95 points and a double-gold medal from Gilbert & Gaillard judges. They raved: “Pleasant nose combining spice and roasted coffee over a fruit base (bilberries, plums). Velvety, nervy and concentrated on the palate, overflowing with flavor. Leaves a very harmonious impression.”
