Talented winemaker Doug Roosevelt sourced the Chardonnay grapes from Washington’s premium Horse Heaven Hills region (part of the larger Columbia Valley) and the prized McNary Vineyard. Here, dry, sandy soils and cooler-than-average temperatures encourage vines to bury their roots deep – the perfect Chardonnay growing conditions and key to seriously concentrated, complex flavors. In fact, those flavors were so impressive that Doug chose to leave the wine unoaked, allowing the pure fruit character to shine.
Look forward to ripe lemon and orchard-fruit aromas, followed by vibrant apple and pear flavors on the palate. Hints of tropical fruit linger on the long, fresh finish. Like all fine Chardonnay, it will make a lovely aperitif or a delicious partner for creamy cheeses, leafy salads, or roasted poultry dishes.
