Wine Flavor Profile
Bartolomeo Lorenzi is a full-bodied red wine with intense cherry, plum, dried flower, and sweet spice aromas and flavors. Luscious and balanced, the palate delivers similar flavors, plus silky-smooth tannins and a long, concentrated finish.
Beyond the Label

Amarone della Valpolicella is “one of the most unique and noble red wines in the world,” writes The Wine Advocate. As adoring fans already know, Amarone is also Italy’s richest red. The secret behind its full-bodied, complex flavors is the art of air-drying grapes (the Italians call it appassimento).

Cantina Valpolicella Negrar lies in the heart of northern Italy’s Veneto region. Back in 1933, they were the first winery to bottle and label a wine called ‘Amarone.’ And today, they have an excellent reputation for producing world-class wines. In fact, this fine Amarone was rated 94 points by expert Luca Maroni and 93 points by critic James Suckling, who wrote:

“Almost smoky cherry and California-prune aromas and flavors here. Some smoked bacon, too. Full-bodied, this is a tight and relatively dry Amarone with a good framework of fine, firm tannins that give the wine some agility...it’s quite powerful.”

Head winemaker Daniele Accordini and his team hand harvested the grapes from the estate’s pristine vineyards in the Marano Valley. Then, they dried the grapes for 90 days under perfect conditions, concentrating the luscious fruit flavors. The wine rested for 24 months in barrel and matured for six months in bottle before release. Daniele was so thrilled with the final wine, he named it after Bartolomeo Lorenzi, an important historical figure whose “4 Cantos” poem described the work of local farmers over the four seasons and helped popularize Valpolicella’s wines.

While you can uncork this luxe Amarone upon arrival, it will also cellar well for the next decade. Whenever you plan to enjoy it, you’ll experience intense cherry, plum, dried flower, and sweet spice characters. Balanced and full bodied, it makes an indulgent aperitif or an equally impressive partner to filet, meaty pastas, and more.

An incredible offering from the original Amarone producer. Hurry for your share of this luxurious exclusive—only 275 cases available.
