Château Pauillac 2015

Château Pauillac 2015
Jancis Robinson, MW says that “Bordeaux lovers will certainly want to have some 2015s in their cellars.” So you’ll have to move quickly to secure this luxurious, highly acclaimed Pauillac from some very prestigious vineyards ...
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.

But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

Wine Details

Beyond the Label

“Certainly an impressive wine … well defined and full of character.” 90-92 points
The Wine Advocate

2015 is the Bordeaux vintage to have in your wine rack, thanks to an ideal growing season that yielded wonderfully ripe fruit (all the winemakers we’ve talked to and work with are raving about the quality, saying it’s the best year for them since storied 2010!). And as Master of Wine Jancis Robinson says, “Bordeaux lovers will certainly want to have some 2015s in their cellars.”

But for many of the high-end bottles, you really will have to move quickly … especially with this impressive Pauillac.

Pascale Peyronie’s Château Pauillac is the only château in the Médoc allowed to use an appellation as its name besides Château Margaux. 2014 was the inaugural vintage for this flagship red (it was only released in France), and 2015 is its U.S. debut. As you’d expect with a wine of this caliber (and tiny production), every care has been taken: the winemaking consultant is none other than Michel Rolland, the barrels are the finest money can buy (T5 from Taransaud, all 100% new), and the fruit is a strict selection from three very special sites: one bordering Châteaux Latour and Pichon Comtesse, the second alongside Lynch-Bages, and the third right in the middle of a Mouton Rothschild vineyard.

When James Suckling tasted it last year, he called it “an incredible new wine from Pauillac near Pontet-Canet and Mouton!” – and he loved the 2015 too, rating it 91-92 points. You will not find this wine anywhere else in the U.S. (and our price is also the best you’ll see anywhere). The most exciting new release from Pauillac in a long while – only 200 cases produced, and we have just 80 to share.
