Beyond the Label

“Italy offers an amazing range of rosé wines, the permutations of which are like those of no other country in the world.”
– Ian D’Agata, vinous.com

And where better to begin exploring than one of Italy’s most famous regions, Tuscany.

With so much of the region’s precious Sangiovese grapes earmarked for reds like Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino, rosatos are still pretty rare to see on the market. But many winemakers do make a tiny amount for their own consumption...and for good friends.

When we tasted this pink from the hugely talented Paolo Masi, we knew we had to get our hands on some of it for you. “Always a good buy,” says Wine Spectator of Paolo’s Chianti reds. As you’ll taste, he’s lavished just as much care on this rosé, made with grapes from the same premium Sangiovese vines. His vineyards are high in the Rufina Hills, where warm sunshine gives way to cold nights, preserving crispness and delicate aromatics in the grapes. In the cellar, Paolo cool-fermented the wine for maximum freshness.

Expressive and crisp, with bright berry and cherry notes and a long, refreshing finish. A stylish aperitivo or the perfect foil for antipasti, fresh seafood, light pastas, and more.

Freshly bottled rosé is a once-a-year treat—and a pink this rare is sure to sell even faster than most. Don’t miss out.
