Flavor Profile
When you want a refreshing glass of wine, your options aren’t just white or rosé. Domaine Campo Longo is a super-fresh red wine that’s bursting with flavor and perfect served lightly chilled.
When our southern France expert, Sarah Everden, took a trip to Corsica, she paid a visit to the beautiful, out-of-the-way Domaine Campo Longo, run by Jean-Andre Guidici. After a walk around the vineyards in the blazing summer sun, they went back to the cellar for a refreshing glass. It wasn’t a rosé or a white that Jean-Andre pulled from the fridge, but this juicy, vibrant red. For Sarah, it was love at first sip.
The wine is made using Corsica’s native Nielluccio grape and overflows with bright cherry and red currant flavors, so it’s easy to see why the locals love it so much. In fact, it never usually leaves Corsica because the locals enjoy so much of it, making this a rare treat. Enjoy it lightly chilled, paired with simple pasta dishes or seafood risotto.
Don’t wait to get your hands on Domaine Campo Longo—it won’t last long.
