The Louw family has owned Diemersdal since 1885 (though the estate itself dates back to 1702). Granger Bay rosé marries zesty Sauvignon Blanc (Diemersdal’s specialty) with a splash of red superstar Cabernet Sauvignon (key to the pretty pink color). Offering a medley of tropical, citrus and red fruit aromas and flavors, it’s a delightful aperitif and even better with food. Thys suggests seafood or creamy pastas, but summer salads or grilled white meats will be tasty, too.
