Beyond the Label

A native of Washington State, the green darner dragonfly symbolizes happiness, speed and purity—a perfect representative for the off-dry Green Darner Riesling that’s pure green fruit flavors inspire unending joy.

The wine comes from the Columbia Valley, the state’s largest wine region, which spans around 11 million acres in the shadow of the Cascade Mountains. Sheltered from most rain, the area has a somewhat arid, continental climate, causing winegrowers to rely primarily on its namesake river and its tributaries to supply water for their vines.

It’s said that this use of irrigation provides growers with more control over grape development than is possible in most other US wine regions, leading to a smaller range of vintage variation and consistently high-quality wines.

What’s that mean for your glass? An absolutely delicious and integrated expression of Riesling.

Crafted in a gently, just-barely-sweet style, the Green Darner overflows with ripe Bartlett pear, green apple and lime flavors. Though great on its own, it’ll be even better alongside simply prepared chicken, roasted vegetables or spicy Asian cuisine.
