Il Poeta Chardonnay 2024

Flavor Profile
The cool-climate hills of Piedmont, Italy, are best-known for their famous reds, Barolo and Barbaresco. But the region's high altitude and cooler temperatures also yield mountain-fresh Chardonnays that are a serious alternative to white Burgundy. The fresh and characterful Il Poeta Chardonnay is an ideal example.
Like all our Il Poeta exclusives, it’s made by winemaker Paolo Sartirano in partnership with grape grower Natale Seghesio, known locally as the ‘poet farmer’ for his habit of penning a verse for each new vintage. (Most of his poems are given pride of place on the bottles’ labels.)
A bright yet rounded Chardonnay, it brims with ripe orchard fruit and crisp citrus flavors. A short time in barrel, meanwhile, has lent a delightful creaminess that makes it a good companion to roast chicken, sushi and salads—or simply enjoyed solo.
All in all, it offers an elegant taste of Piedmont at a fraction of the price you'd find elsewhere. < b>Order your share today to ensure you don’t miss out.
