For 75 years, the Liantonio family has crafted world-class wines in Puglia (home to southern Italy’s richest reds). Today, they’re leading the charge for sustainability. Their Torrevento estate received Gambero Rosso’s Special Prize for Viticultural Sustainability and is Equalitas certified—meaning it’s environmentally, ethically and economically sustainable.
The family has entrusted their head winemaker, Leonardo Palumbo, to carry on this mission. He crafted Purezza from organically grown Nero di Troia and Primitivo (the flagship grapes of sunny Puglia). It’s a silky-smooth red with fresh violet and ripe berry notes—and a 93-point score from Italian critic Luca Maroni. A delicious match for pastas, firm cheeses and much more.
