Beyond the Label

This exciting new arrival is a different breed of Bordeaux that you can feel great about drinking. Not just because Toinon boasts a bounty of acclaim, but because it was made in an eco-friendly way and with no sulfites.

The man behind this bold red is Jean-Marc Sauboua, who trained at First Growth Château Haut-Brion. He sourced perfectly ripe Merlot from a sustainably farmed vineyard that’s strewn with fossils (featured on the label). He made the wine at Le Chai au Quai, which Decanter calls “a fabulous venture.” And he did it without adding any sulfites.

Ever the iconoclast, he opted for a ‘Burgundy’ shape so the bottle would stand out—just as much as the pure fruit flavors inside. No wonder it has a ‘Grand Gold’ medal from Asia Wine Trophy, three gold medals and two 90-point ratings, including one from the International Wine Challenge: “Ripe plum with a hint of spice on the nose. Juicy with vibrant fruit and tight structure.”

Feel good about breaking rules and secure your share of this unique Bordeaux today.
