Baronesa de Vilar Port Finish Reserva 2022

Flavor Profile
Portugal’s legendary Van Zeller family have made premium wine in the Douro Valley since 1715. Always looking to innovate, they decided to bring together their two strongest suits—luscious Port and bold (dry) reds—in their Port-barrel-aged Reserva. And it’s been a huge hit with both customers and critics.
The inaugural release sold out in a flash. Previous vintages have earned 90+ point scores and gold medals galore. Now, it’s back again...and it’s everything fans of big, luscious reds look for in a wine.
Crafted from the country’s flagship grape, Touriga Nacional, it offers up wave after wave of blackberry, candied plum and toasty spice notes. Here’s 15th-generation winemaker Alvaro van Zeller on what else is in store:
“The Baroness of Vilar was our paternal grandmother and this wine captures some of her elegance and strength while reflecting the dramatic landscape of the Douro Valley. This limited-edition Reserva was aged 12 months in barrels that we previously used to mature our favorite vintage Port. The result is a super-rich dry red that’s a little smoother, a little rounder and a little more luxurious. Enjoy!”
If you missed out before, you do not want to miss it again. Hurry for your share.
