But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

Flavor Profile
For over 80 years, the Barbanera family has crafted world-class wines. Their Super Tuscans, especially, are always BIG favorites with our customers and boast major international acclaim. (In fact, leading critic Luca Maroni called their flagship, Vecciano, “one of the all-time great Super Tuscans.”) Now, we’re pleased to present a special anniversary release ...
Otto Decenni (eight decades) is a sumptuous Super Tuscan that celebrates the Barbanera family’s winemaking history. Back in 1938, Altero Barbanera bought a small parcel of land in Tuscany’s Piazze region and started making wine for his family and friends. His son, Luigi, expanded the business, eventually passing it on to his sons, Marco and Paolo. Under their care, the Barbanera family estate has become of one of most respected in all of Tuscany.
Crafted by fourth-generation Sofia (Marco’s daughter), Otto Decenni marries Sangiovese with Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Patiently barrel aged, it’s a testament to the Barbaneras’ talents and overflows with luscious dark berry and chocolatey spice flavors. One sip will explain why it earned 98 points from Maroni and a gold medal from Berliner Wein Trophy judges.
The Barbaneras hope you enjoy this limited-edition Super Tuscan at your own family meals. It’ll be delicious with juicy steaks, roasted game meats, or hearty pasta dishes.
