For this one, he selected a mix of native Portuguese Castelão and internationally beloved Syrah from seaside vineyards along the Península de Setúbal, located near the harbor of Port Côvo. (The former grape creates a ripe, succulent character, while the latter lends rich red fruit flavors.)

Sumptuous, yet still elegant, Portinho do Côvo will shine with roasted red meats, hearty winter stews and more—but it’s smooth enough to enjoy on its own, too.
