His Waxed Bat, from the premium (high-altitude) enclave of Mendoza, is always a huge hit with customers, show judges and critics. Decanter World Wine Awards judges once described it as “so thick you could paint with it.”

The 2020 release—which boasts a 90-point gold medal from France’s top wine guide—is another delicious edition to The Waxed Bat lineage. Judges wrote, “Intense, spicy and oaky nose. The palate displays more of the same aromatics with a lot of balance, weight and richness. The finish is focused and persistent...A wine that stays true to its origins.”

A blend of berry-rich Shiraz, inky-black Malbec and chocolatey Cabernet, The Waxed Bat delivers a deep, dark glassful, starting with aromas of lush blackberry and notes of violet, smoke, pepper, and licorice.
