Villa Blue Albariño may hail from one of Stellenbosch, South Africa’s most historic estates, but its juicy stone fruit flavors and mouth-watering acidity more than appeal to modern-day tastes.
It comes to our cellar courtesy of the talented team at Spier Wine Farm. Established in 1692, the producer is now one of the country’s most acclaimed—with 1,839 awards and counting—including two ‘South African Wine Producer of the Year’ trophies and an ‘Ethical Company of the Year’ title from The Drinks Business’ Green Awards.
Unsurprisingly, previous vintages of this Albariño have earned their share of accolades (including 90+ points from the Decanter World Wine Awards), as well. And after tasting this release, we’re sure to hear equal praise soon.
